Alumni Association Legacy Scholarships

The Lake Catholic Alumni Association is now collecting scholarship applications for the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship.

The application is open to any current freshman student who has a parent, grandparent, guardian, or aunt/uncle who attended Lake Catholic. The scholarship, valued at $1,000, is renewable each year while the student is enrolled and in good standing at Lake Catholic.

This year, two scholarships will be awarded. The deadline to submit is January 6, 2025.

State of Ohio Scholarships

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) provides funding through EdChoice Traditional and Expansion Scholarships, the Cleveland Scholarship Program and the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program to assist with the cost of tuition at non-public schools. 

The EdChoice Traditional and Cleveland Scholarship Program are limited to $8,408; the EdChoice Expansion awards range from $840.80 to $8408 based upon income and household size; and the Jon Peterson awards vary based upon the disability identified.

Academic

Lake Catholic High School offers academic scholarships to students based on the results of the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Students will qualify for an academic scholarship by taking the test at Lake Catholic High School or submitting their scores from another school to us by November 15, 2024.

Legacy Students

A $300.00 renewable grant is offered to each student with a parent or grandparent who is an alumnus of Lake Catholic High School. (limit one discount per student, per year)

Tuition Assistance

Requires submission of a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

• FACTS Grant and Aid (FACTS) will process all applications and release the results to Lake Catholic High School and the Diocese of Cleveland.
• The deadline to apply for tuition assistance is December 1, 2024. Late applications will be considered if funding is available.

Diocesan Tuition Assistance

Requires submission for a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

• Students at Lake Catholic High School may qualify for Tuition Assistance Grants from the Diocese of Cleveland. The Diocesan Tuition Assistance is announced in May of 2025.
• Fund a Dream is a tuition assistance scholarship program to support Catholic Education. Applications open in January of 2025.

Angel Fund

This tax-credit scholarship program is to award scholarships to our high school students. Lake Catholic provides tuition assistance for families who wish to send their children to our Catholic schools. Applications open in February of 2025 and the awards are announced in May of 2025.

Endowed

Alumni and friends of Lake Catholic High School have established many scholarship opportunities for our incoming class. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic excellence, participation in service and leadership activities. Applicants must complete a FACTS financial aid application.
